Leadership Workshop - Saudi Film Commission

Remon Consulting had the privilege of hosting a series of workshops in Riyadh for the Saudi Film Commission.

These workshops - part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision2030 - focused on strengthening local SMEs in areas such as Production Finance, Operational Management, Next-Gen Leadership Development, and navigating the impact of AI on the sector. We had the chance to engage with a dynamic group of media and entertainment founders and executives.

Here are some of the key takeaways:
1️⃣ Diversification at speed – The Saudi government is driving cultural, media, arts, and entertainment as major engines of economic diversification. The Saudi Film Commission (established in 2020) is at the heart of this ecosystem.

2️⃣ Hyper-growth sector – The entertainment industry is projected to contribute 4.2% to GDP and create 450,000 jobs by 2030.

3️⃣ Growth mindset everywhere – Leaders we met weren’t just interested in “one-off” training. They’re hungry for sustained coaching and homegrown talent development.

4️⃣ Challenging assumptions – Coming from Europe, it was humbling to see progress and development happening in real time, much of which is not always visible from the outside.

A big thank you to the Commission for trusting RCL to contribute to this exciting journey, and for inviting me back. I’m already looking forward to my next trip, building on everything I’ve learned from this one.
